Share Your artsdepot Memories!

Wed 16 Apr 2025

Help us celebrate 20 years of artsdepot - we want to hear your artsdepot memories.

Last October marked an exciting milestone for our artsdepot as we celebrated its 20th anniversary. For two decades, artsdepot has been the creative heart of Barnet, bringing performances, exhibitions, workshops, and community events to our borough. This September, the anniversary celebrations culminate in an exhibition showcasing the rich history and impact of artsdepot on our community.

We want to hear your stories!
Do you remember your first visit to artsdepot? Did you see an unforgettable performance, participate in a workshop that sparked a new passion, or make a meaningful connection at a community event? Perhaps your children took their first dance class here, or you showed your first piece of art, or discovered a new favourite artist at one of our exhibitions?

Your personal memories and experiences are an essential part of artsdepot’s rich history. We’re collecting these stories for a special anniversary exhibition that will open in September and run for several months across the building.

How to share your memories
It’s easy to contribute – you can share your memories in whatever way is most comfortable for you:

Whether it’s a brief anecdote or a longer reflection, a funny moment or a profound experience, we’d love to hear from you. Photos, programs, tickets, or other mementos that you’re willing to share would also be wonderful additions to the exhibition (originals will be returned to you, simply include a return address).

Be part of something special
Your contributions will help create a living tapestry of community memories that celebrates not just the building and its programmes, but the people who have made artsdepot such a special place for the past 20 years.

The exhibition will open in September 2025 and will be accessible to all visitors throughout the year – be sure to come along and see your memories on display!

Please send your contributions by Thursday 1 May 2025.
