This event has now finished.

Impact Theatre's Summer Camp is back - and this year we're rocking out with the hit musical We Will Rock You!

Impact Musical Theatre Summer Camp will run Monday 19 – Saturday 31 August 2024, with 50 participants working towards a performance of We Will Rock You in our Pentland Theatre.

The Summer Camp is geared towards putting on the scripted production, We Will Rock You. The show is a version of the West End musical especially created for young people to  perform. Featuring chart-topping Queen songs including Another One Bites the Dust, Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, We Will Rock You, Somebody To Love, We Are the Champions, and many more, this 70-minute adaptation of the West End show follows two young rebels as they restore rock ‘n’ roll to “the iPlanet” in a post-apocalyptic world. We Will Rock You is a musical for our time: a fist-pumping, foot-stomping anthem to individuality.

During the Summer Camp, you’ll be taking part in auditions, learning the music, movement and script.  You will workshop and perform We Will Rock You. With its wonderful rock score and plenty of roles for all, this is going to be a fantastic experience for anyone who takes part! Develop skills, build confidence and perform on the final day in our Pentland Theatre.

If you are interested in taking part, please complete this Registration form: https://forms.office.com/e/eUCepvXFPm

Please note that submitting a Registration form does not guarantee a place but will allow us to allocate places to those we feel the course can offer the most impact to, including free places for those on low incomes* and participants with access needs**.

Other things to know:

  • The Summer Camp is open to young people aged 7 – 17 and runs for 11 days, 10am – 4pm. Lunch is included each day and the total cost is £450.
  • Your child must be available for the entire two weeks of camp to register.
  • All data will be shared with Impact Theatre Company and artsdepot.
  • *Free places are available for those in receipt of Free School Meals – or those who can demonstrate equivalent financial need. Free places are funded per day per child – so if your child misses any camp days for reasons other than illness, they will not be considered for the following year’s camp.
  • **Camps are inclusive and accessible to those with physical and learning disabilities. Please explain your child’s needs in detail so we can ensure appropriate support is in place. Each identified camper will receive an individualised support plan while at camp, developed alongside their family and camp staff. Please note that we cannot offer 1-to-1 support and if this is what your child requires to thrive then this programme is not the appropriate environment for them.

The Summer Camp is supported by The D’Oyly Carte Charitable Trust, The Childhood Trust and Young Barnet Foundation (Holidays Activity Fund) supported by Barnet Council.
