Apthorp Architecture Exhibition – A Creative Schools Project

Three students working on a construction of white vertical and horizonal strips and yellow plastic.

Supported by funding from the Ove Arup Foundation, the Apthorp Architecture Exhibition is an exciting project delivered by socially engaged architects with the aim of creatively connecting young people to themes of sustainability.

Each year, three schools (one secondary, one SEN, one primary) participate in workshops exploring sustainability and the built environment, and creating artworks, culminating in a group exhibition at artsdepot’s Apthorp Gallery. The groups are also invited to a celebration session bringing all the students together to recognise their achievements and see their collaboration come to life.

For Spring 2025, MATT+FIONA will be bringing their knowledge and expertise to three schools in Barnet who will work towards a group exhibition held in the Easter Holidays. MATT+FIONA is an award-winning social enterprise that asks young people how their built environment might be improved and empowers them to bring that vision to life through their work, BUILD, LEARN, CONNECT.

Timings: Workshop timings to be discussed with each school. The Exhibition will be on display at artsdepot between 6 – 20 April 2025
Cost: £400 per school

If you are a school who would like to be involved please contact fleur.adderley@artsdepot.co.uk
