Get involved! Volunteering Opportunities at artsdepot

Our 20th Anniversary Project Co-Creators will help uncover and tell artsdepot’s story in a new project for our 20th anniversary year.

We’re looking for volunteers to help build our archive, uncover new stories and share our journey to become the cultural venue in Barnet. Over the next nine months, in collaboration with heritage specialists, we will be collecting oral histories, revisiting key events and tracking down photos to build an exhibition that will be displayed in Autumn 2025.

Volunteers will share their own memories and ideas of artsdepot and gather stories from audiences, trustees, councillors, community members and others involved in artsdepot since its inception. Volunteers will then create a powerful, engaging and informative display with these stories with support and guidance from industry experts while developing their own skills and knowledge. We’re also looking for people to help spread joy this December as The Department of Winter Crafting Conductors!

Volunteers will help support the smooth running of a winter crafting experience taking place in our gallery over the festive season. The Department of Winter is a fun 40 minute crafting experience for everyone between the ages of 4 and 104.

We are looking for volunteers keen to get involved with arts and crafts and some festive fun. An average session might involve helping to set up and reset The Department of Winter sessions, meeting and greeting participants, supporting them to get creative with the craft activities, and helping people find their way around the building. We welcome applications from anyone aged 18+. We appreciate that not everyone has masses of spare time and the time commitment for each role can be quite flexible – please see the info about each role for more details.
