Creativity of Freedom

Curated by visual artist Abdul Waheed Adeniran, Creativity of Freedom brings together a selection of works from the Outside In Collection that is comprised of artwork made by non-traditional and excluded artists. The exhibition celebrates the liberation offered when people let out what is inside them in an expressive way, pouring their feelings and experiences into their art.

From delicate embroideries to bold paintings, the pieces on display invite the viewers to step closer and explore the imaginations and experiences of the artists who created them.

Award-winning charity Outside In provides a platform for artists encountering significant barriers to the artworld due to health, disability, social circumstance or isolation. Their Step Up training and professional development programme offers artists the chance to research and explore collections as well as learn how to curate exhibitions.
