No rehearsals, no director, no set.
White Rabbit Red Rabbit by Nassim Soleimanpour is a play that has no rehearsals or a director, just a willing performer who doesn’t know the play and the script waiting for them in a sealed envelope on stage…
To date White Rabbit Red Rabbit has been performed in 78 Countries and 30 different languages by over 3,000 different actors, making it the most-performed Iranian play ever! Some of the biggest names in theatre and film have opened the sealed envelope, including Stephen Rea, Nathan Lane, Sinead Cusack, Marcus Brigstocke, Dominic West and Ken Loach. And it took Broadway by storm.
Forbidden to leave his country, playwright Nassim Soleimanpour has distilled the experience of an entire generation in a wild, utterly original play. It’s a surprising, audacious theatre experiment that’s never the same twice. Don’t miss your chance to see this international smash-hit again in London.
We’re thrilled to announce that Sara Amini – artistic director of Seemia Theatre – will be taking up the White Rabbit Red Rabbit mantle at artsdepot.
