The Stove was a captivating blend of participatory performance and communal meal, inviting audiences to forge connections through the power of storytelling. It functioned as a meeting place – a vibrant composite of fireside, kitchen table, and cooking pot – a space where shared meals sparked new stories and fostered bonds with strangers.

Originally launched online, The Stove received Arts Council funding to evolve into an intimate, in-person experience. Diners enjoyed a delicious shared meal while talented storytellers captivated them with their narratives.

During their residency at artsdepot, Emma Brand focused on expanding the project. Their goal was to create a bigger and better experience with more tables, performers, stories, and ultimately, deeper connections.
