During their residency Kill The Cat were laying the groundwork for their new show Keep The Lights On, including exploring how to give an online audience power over an in-person audience.
Kill The Cat is an award-winning interactive theatre company run by co-artistic directors Dylan Frankland and Madeleine Allardice. Produced by Turtle Key Arts.
Using interaction to tackle social issues, they give audiences agency and choice; placing them at the heart of the action. But above all creating a shared sense of community and play.
Keep The Lights On will be a live hybrid interactive piece exploring the environmental cost of the internet, where the online and in-person audiences are pitted against each other. The online audience controls the shows electricity supply, whilst the in-person audience battle to keep the lights on or experience the show entirely in darkness.
